We were very pleased to hear that Gabriella Davis of The Turtle Partnership – an IBM Champion Lifetime Achievement Award Winner in 2016 – continues to be an IBM Champion for Collaboration Solutions for 2017. Gabriella was one of the first Champions in 2012 and has since been selected again every year since until she was given a Lifetime Award last year.
We were also pleased to hear that Mike Smith of The Turtle Partnership has been selected again – for the third year running – to be an IBM Champion for Collaboration Solutions for 2017.
It’s a great honour for two people from our company to become IBM Champions. The IBM Champion programme recognises innovative thought leaders in the technical community, and rewards them by amplifying their voice and increasing their sphere of influence. An IBM Champion is an IT professional, business leader, developer, and/or educator who influences and mentors others to help them make best use of IBM solutions and services. These individuals are non-IBMers who evangelize IBM solutions, share their knowledge and help grow the community of professionals who are focused on social business and IBM Collaboration Solutions.
IBM Champions spend a considerable amount of their own time, energy and resources on community efforts —organizing and leading user group events, answering questions in forums, contributing wiki articles and applications, publishing podcasts, sharing instructional videos and more!
To quote Ed Brill of IBM the selected IBM Champions for Collaboration Solutions ‘represent strong evangelists, community contributors, knowledge sharers, and all around good people’.
